It is from the 1920s, as has nine precision resistors, and two larger ones which appear to be in type 38 series. The black Bakelite panel with taps is 2 by inches in size, and total unit about 4 length , including control knob. There are nine taps, and it is in very nice condition. The maximum reading I measure is 36k ohms.
