It broke where is designed to hinge. My vinyl collection is super clean though, so that doesn't hurt. I bought this new old stock many years ago.

Pics should tell you what need to know. The case within box that houses cartridge is broken, it has also been taped so stays shut. As can be seen in the pictures it includes original box and associated paperwork.

The plastic case that covers box has a split and so was taped with clear packing tape. It is functionally perfect and the diamond tip still very much sharp as can be seen in photos.
