These speakers are 95 original. I installed a replica of the crossover used in the kl model twenty four speakers. These are a pair of radio shack Realistic mc 1000 acoustic suspension stereo speakers, model 40 1980. They sounded OK, but I felt they could be improved upon.
Now these are a very nice sounding budget acoustic suspension speaker as opposed to an unremarkable speaker. These would be great for a small apartment or a dorm room as they are nice and compact, not taking up a lot of real estate. This updated crossover improved the sound quite a lot.
The cabinets are in pretty good shape for the age, a couple of small dings, nothing major. These are two way speakers with an 8 inch woofer and a inch tweeter. Original drivers, grilles and cabinets, but the crossover has been modified from stock.
Total combined weight of the speakers shipped would be about 50lbs, so it would be expensive anyway. The original crossover was nothing but a single electrolytic capacitor on the tweeter. Date code on the back of the cabinets dates them to I used the same resistor value, same capacitor values, and the same iron core indicator value.
