All information given is to the best of my knowledge. These transistors use the hook eye connection.
Also it appears that most of the transistors have a small amount cardboard stuck to top surface from being in packaging for so long though few look not this issue. Look to be nos new old stock as each transistor is individually boxed, however I cannot sure of this fact. I have a bunch that are listed and will be. If you are a collector and have preference on box condition please send me message I will do my best to pick some of the nicest looking boxes.
Apparently they were primarily designed for military equipment. I do my best to share honest and accurate information when listing but am not an expert. I do not know how to test these though if you can explain so please feel free contact me at this point they are being sold as is untested.
From what research I did, these were the first type of power transistor that Western Electric ever made. This listing: listing is for one Western Electric 2N66 2J2N66 pnp alloy junction germanium power transistor with its original packaging.
Which has periods added. Date packed 3 56, 5/6 or as for markings on the transistors themselves, I pulled random one from each and opened boxes to check.: came across several of these in an estate. About my photos: I shoot all of own photos.
Some of the boxes have more discoloration and wear than others. All photos are originals. If marking variations are important to you please let me know and I will do my best accommodate your preferences. There are four different package dates ranging including: 3 56, 5/6 and mfg contra.
All boxes are stamped as follows: 2J2N66 crystal unit, amplifying 1 each phial Western Electric co. Please see shipping details for listing or ask questions if you are unsure. Most items are sent via USPS first class or priority mail.
