Pros of buying Harman Kardon speakers with volume control pot:1. Manual control: The volume pot provides a physical, tactile way to adjust the volume, which some people prefer over digital controls.
2. Simple and intuitive: The volume pot is a simple and intuitive control method that most people are familiar with.
3. Durable: Volume pots are typically made of high-quality materials and are designed to last, which can make the speakers more durable.
4. Can be used in conjunction with digital controls: Some Harman Kardon speakers with volume control pots also have digital controls, which can provide additional flexibility and convenience.
Cons of buying Harman Kardon speakers with volume control pot:1. Less precise: Volume pots may not provide as precise volume control as digital controls, which can result in less accurate volume levels.
2. May not be as convenient: Digital controls can often be more convenient, as they allow for easy adjustment of volume from a distance or with a remote control.
3. May not be as visually appealing: Volume pots can sometimes detract from the overall aesthetic of the speakers, as they can be bulky and take up space.
Conclusion:If you prefer a physical and tactile way to adjust the volume, and you don't mind a less precise control, then a Harman Kardon speaker with a volume control pot may be a good choice for you. However, if you value precision and convenience, and you don't mind digital controls, then you may want to consider a Harman Kardon speaker without a volume control pot. Ultimately, the best speaker for you will depend on your personal preferences and needs.
Recommendation:If you are looking for a Harman Kardon speaker with a volume control pot, I would recommend the Harman Kardon A220. It is a compact and affordable speaker with good sound quality and a volume control pot. However, if you are looking for a more advanced speaker with digital controls as well, I would recommend the Harman Kardon A700. It is a powerful and versatile speaker with digital controls, as well as a volume control pot, and it offers excellent sound quality.
I also have many other pots available controls. Many original volume controls that Harman Kardon used came with huge design flaws. Unmatched potentiate.
See the link I have been servicing Harman Kardon units for a while. I have a limited quantity. It is a pity to see how many units are wasted mutilated drilled holes in the face plate or chassis for toggle switch installation, cord cutting in-line switches etc, just because of broken on off.
If a volume pot is unbalanced one speaker will sound louder than the other. I also have many other controls available.
With years i've developed deep respect toward Harman Kardon gear especial tube. Only positive results and well balanced sound. Those must be matched and balanced because they play a huge role in even sound distribution.
By now the majority of 60-year-old volume controls have deteriorated carbon resistance paths. I see many posts on various forums where people are looking asking for a good replacement. These are high quality factory made potentiates. Will keep few for myself and help others with this hard to find pot.
I am glad to announce that succeeded. All these issues have been addressed by this volume control.
This is modern production potentiate. Still it will work well.
