See pics the speaker was built and engineered to send sound 360 degrees. The sound radiates from all four sides. It is by and high weighs pounds. Marketed in 1969 by Harman Kardon.
8 woofer and cone tweeter faces upwards into a specially contoured Styrofoam shape. This is a very nice collectable to have and would look great in any room. They work and I also have the original print ad taken out of a magazine for this model which is included. This little gem radiates all reflected sound.
I would keep them if didn't have so many other vintage equipment starting to pile up. They are in really good condition for being almost 49 years old. I imagine these would need new capacitors in the crossover soon but they do work. They well were kept care of and only have a few minor blemishes that are hardly noticeable.
I recently acquired a pair of Harman Kardon HK-50 Omani directional speakers from the original owner because he knew collected vintage stereo.
