There are 6 taps with one being off. You are buying on a Western Electric Type KS-16790-L1 audio attenuator made by Tech Laboratories. It is in nice clean condition, and appears to be 600/6 as I measure a maximum of slightly more than 600 ohms on either side the common tap. It is 2 1/4 inches in diameter, and tall, not counting the shaft or control knob.

I got this loose, so do not know how it was used. The cover seems to be braided on, so I was unable remove it.
